Rare ancient mosaics, believed to date back to the 1st century BC, have been unearthed in the southeastern Sanliurfa province of Turkey, the municipality said, according to Daily Sabah....

Archaeologist Hakob Simonyan presented the exceptional results of the excavations carried out in the historic site of Aghdzk, near Byurakan, during which relics of Armenian kings were found. According to Simonyan, the findings were bones and relics that belonged to the Artaxiad and Arsacid kings, which were found not in the tomb, but under the pavement of the church....

Within the framework of the theme "Archelology in Armenia",  Laboratory of Archaeological Research of Institute for Armenian Studies of YSU  apart from research activities conducted a variety of field work in 2015 in Oshakan, Aramus, Sotq, Syunik and Nagorno Karabakh. As a result of  4-year  joint planned work of  Laboratory of Archaeological Research and the Chair of Archeology and Ethnography of YSU early Iron Age Burial complexes were excavated in Oshakan....
